How Jumpsite TL1 Works for Start-Ups...

Wine Trainers Ltd was conceived in November 2007. One of my first decisions was to investigate alternative ways of building a website, and I selected Jon Beal and Jumpsite for several reasons. However, the one which clinched it was that Jon and his team offer a hands-on approach which enables the user to populate his/her own website with input and guidance from Jumpsite.

I started the Jumpsite programme in early January and soon discovered it offered far more than it said on the tin. In order to successfully develop a website, it is vital to know what you want to achieve, and Jon’s method forces you to build a marketing plan before you even start on the website. And once I had achieved this, my financial plan which had always been problematic to quantify, fell into place quite naturally. And so I ended up with a realistic business plan!

After a very brief gestation, Wine Trainers was born in February 2008. Since that time, with the benefit of the Jumpsite programme, I have been able to systematically evolve my USP (Unique Selling Points), my key target markets, my product ranges and an insight into the value of writing articles to enhance the business offering. I would heartily endorse the Jumpsite programme for any smaller business seeking to establish an effective and relevant website – and as a bonus to build a really good marketing plan.
